We believe therefore that change only happens when there is equal emphasis on both the rational – clear direction, strategy development and implementation, and the emotional – addressing behavioural change.
We work with P&L owners with regional or global reach, with an annual turnover of €100m or more. Not because of any delusions of grandeur, but simply because it’s who we know, and where we can make an impact.
You may find yourself in one of the following situations:
You have just taken on, or are about to take on, a new role and are not sure where to start. You could do with some support to lay the foundations and get going: clarifying your mandate and ambition for yourself, for your leadership team and the wider organisation; understanding your environment; defining how to focus your energy in the short and medium term; and getting an action plan in place.
You have been in the role for three to six months and have made some initial strategic decisions and organisational changes. Now you need to generate the clarity and energy that will get your team and the rest of the organisation behind you, with a common direction, so you can really make your mark.

In our experience, leaders that want to make a real change in their organisations tend to approach it in similar ways. They develop a rational business case (or get it from the top), which they hope will be enough to generate the shift they’re expecting.
However, as multiple studies prove (and our own experience confirms), understanding the “why” for change is rarely enough to foment new behaviour.
Done wrong, it is most likely to drive talent away, create a toxic culture, and destroy immense value – financial and otherwise. Leading, ultimately, to an early exit and a successor taking over.
